Molten Chocolate Cakes

Traditional Ukrainian borsch


  • 8 oz Butter
  • 6 oz Bittersweet Chocolate, chopped
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 tbsp Flour


  1. Preheat oven to 450°
  2. Generously butter a muffin tin
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan, on low heat
  4. Once melted, stir in chocolate, remove from heat
  5. In a medium mixing bowl, beat eggs, egg yolks, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt
  6. Next add the chocolate mixture
  7. Then add flour, mix just until combined
  8. Spoon the batter evenly into muffin tin
  9. Bake for 10 minutes
  10. Let the cakes cool, then remove from muffin tin
  11. Serve with ice cream or sprinkled with powdered sugar

  1. This sounds similar to my brownie pudding and it is one of my family’s favorites. Also I tried the meatballs only using an alfredo sauce instead of bbq-my husband isn’t a big fan of bbq. It turned out really good.
